Historic house museum in the former home of Victorian author Elizabeth Gaskell. This Victorian villa has been carefully restored as it would have been in the 1850s. A variety of period rooms are available to hire including study, drawing room, dining room, bedroom and hallway/staircase. We are a small independent charity and all income from photography and filming at the House goes towards keeping the House open to the public.
