Main rule would be no food or drink near upholstered items and soft furnishings. My sofa is a very light grey and easily damaged. If drinks are used on the marble table please use a coaster - I already have a few ring marks and would be really upset if any more were made. Also the floors are a beautiful natural wood so no heavy items being dragged across them please :)
