FAQ’s - this is not an exhaustive list of FAQ’s, so if there’s ANYTHING not listed here please ask *What are your general hours of availability? We are generally available for shoots Mondays to Fridays out of school hours (when pupils are not on site): Film Shoots or Music/ Photo shoots Weekends 8am-10pm During school holidays 8am-10pm Overtime is double the hourly rate Please note that many other organisations hire various areas of the school premises at various times of the week, so please specify which area your are interested in so that we can quickly establish if it's available for the day and times you are wanting to shoot on. *Where can I park? On street paid parking is available using the park mobile app and there is usually plenty of local parking No neighbours driveways are to be blocked at any time of the day or the evening, this is absolutely unacceptable. If anyone is caught parking across a driveway, including equipment hire companies and caterers, the client will incur a penalty charge of £100 which will be included in your final invoice. We will produce photographic evidence to prove the car / owner If being dropped off by a taxi service please be mindful of the neighbours and unload all equipment in to the school area, so as not to block up any pavements *Do I need to protect the floors? Please use floor protecting mats and coverings. Any damages to floors will be billed for repairs. We recommend you don’t use any sticky floor protection *Do you allow redecorating? Yes provided everything is returned to it’s prior/ original fashion, unless agreed otherwise *Do we have to take our shoes off? Not if you don't want to *What if we feel too hot or cold during the course of a shoot? There is unfortunately little that can be done to instantaneously adjust the temperature of the building other than with the use of plug in devices, which are not provided. *Are you wheelchair accessible? We are wheelchair accessible with toilet facilities available for wheelchair users *My crew smoke/ vape, where may they do so? we are a non smoking property. No smoking or vaping is allowed anywhere inside the property. Smoking/ Vaping is permitted outside of the school premises/ grounds ONLY, and cigarette butts must be disposed of safely and not thrown anywhere around the school, the garden/ outside spaces or over any fences *Our shoot involves recreational drugs, is that OK? Under no circumstances are any illegal drugs to be taken at the property. If there is anyone caught taking drugs or any evidence of drug use, we will notify the police. We will also charge the client a penalty of £500 *We’d like to use a Haze/ Smoke Machine or something else that creates smoke, is that ok? The location host needs to know beforehand if haze/ smoke machines, etc. are going to be used. A fine will be implemented if this is not done. All precautions should be taken to avoid our smoke detectors going off and disturb the neighbours. Please discuss all your requirements on application, so that all the necessary risk assesments can be acrried out in advance. *Our shoot will be noisy, is that ok? We ask all our clients shooting any moving image and or music videos to keep the playback volume to a minimum sound level, and to be respectful of our neighbours. Loud music/ disturbances will not be tolerated. Also when in the garden or outsides spaces, please be considerate of your noise levels when loading and unloading or shooting *Can we move wall hangings and furniture? Everything can be moved BUT nothing is to be moved or taken off the walls without prior arrangement/ consultation with the location host *Can we use the props/ articles at your location for the shoot? We provide a lot of props throughout the premises which may be used with prior arrangement and agreement. The stylists and or production members are responsible to return these to the correct rooms and the correct places. Anything that is missing will also be billed. We ask you to take care when packing up that anything of ours is not packed up with your kit and equipment *What areas of the house can we use to do make up, use as a dressing room, etc.? All areas are available for use by prior arrangement. If you haven’t arranged to use an area of the premises then it will be out of bounds *Are we allowed to leave our kit at the premises between consecutive day shoots or drop it off the day before? Yes, that’s not a problem, again by prior arrangement. This will incur a charge 50% of the regular hire fee *My Crew will need to eat & drink during the course of the shoot, what is available? Eating and drinking in the location is limited to the kitchen areas/ staffroom only please. No food and/ or drink outside of permitted areas please Please avoid leaving cups of coffee/tea around the property and have a ‘clean as you go’ approach Please ask if you need to use any of our cutlery, crockery, glassware, pots and pans or stove Refridgerators available on request, but please do not leave anything in the fridge after the shoot There are lots of local places to chose from should anyone wish to go out to get anything to eat ranging from Sainsbury’s/ Marks & Spencer’s/ Independant Supermarket to a local bakery and other local cafes and eateries with a wide variety of cuisines on offer *Can we organise for external catering to feed our crew during the shoot? Yes, that’s no problem. When external catering has been used, someone must check that none of our cutlery / utensils goes back to them. Please check before the end of the day. Or we will be providing a bill for anything missing No food in the fridge or the cupboards is to be used, unless by prior agreement Please do not leave food on site or in the fridge, this needs to be removed from the property, or thrown in the bin *How do I dispose of my rubbish during and after a shoot? Please use the bins provided to dispose of all rubbish being careful to correctly separate recycling from general rubbish. Spare bin & recycling bags will be provided All rubbish is to be taken with you and removed from the property after a day's work, but please discuss with the location host should this not be possible The location host will periodically check on whether bins need emptying and assist with rubbish where needed NO RUBBISH IS TO BE LEFT ON THE STREET, IN FRONT OF OR AROUND THE PREMISES *Do I have to clean the premises after the shoot? We ask you to please leave the premises as found - clean and tidy. We expect everything to be returned in the correct places. Any dirty items must be loaded into the dishwasher and please put it on before leaving the premises. Bins all cleared and disposed of. This includes all the bathroom bins where applicable Please ensure you leave enough time to leave the place as you left it before the scheduled shoot end time *Is there anything else the production team needs to know with COVID in mind? We can only allow the working team / shoot crew on site - no friends or entourage allowed on site. We will be ensuring that only the number that is quoted on the booking is on site, through-out the day. We have to insist on this for the safety of not only yourselves (the client) but also of the regular functionality of the premises. We ask that everyone attending has sensibly assessed if they are fit to attend the site **ADDITIONAL COVID GUIDELINES *What are we providing at the location: - Antibacterial soap / anti bac sanitiser - Disposable paper towels/ hand dryers - Regular cleaning of the premises - Within reason, as long as shoots are rescheduled right away, we can offer some flexibility on rescheduling dates due to illness or any changes in the government announcements, depending on availability *What we are asking of our clients: - Clear communication to location host regarding start & finishing times - To dispose of all rubbish bags, including bathroom bins - Load the dishwasher and switch on.
