These Location Hire Rules apply to all bookings facilitated through Scouty and are to be adhered to in conjunction with Scouty's terms and conditions. Rules and Conditions: 1. Crew and Cast Size: ○ The maximum number of crew and cast members allowed on-site is 12 persons. ○ Under no circumstances shall the total number of persons on-site exceed 15. 2. Waste Management: ○ The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that no rubbish or waste is left on-site at the end of the hire period. ○ All rubbish and waste must be removed and disposed of properly by the Hirer. 3. Footwear: ○ No shoes are to be worn inside the house unless required for filming by an actor. ○ Protective coverings should be used for all equipment brought into the house to prevent damage to floors. 4. Use of Kitchen Equipment: ○ The use of any kitchen equipment, including but not limited to the coffee machine, mixer, oven, and other appliances, is strictly prohibited unless directly required for filming purposes. ○ Any use of kitchen equipment for filming must be pre-approved in writing by the Owner. 5. Damage and Cleanliness: ○ The Hirer is responsible for any damage to the property during the hire period. ○ The Location must be returned to the Owner in the same condition it was in at the start of the hire period. ○ Any damage or cleaning required after the hire period will be charged to the Hirer. 6. Handover and Inspection: ○ The Owner will hand over the property to the Hirer in person at the start of the hire period. ○ A joint inspection of the property will be conducted at that time, with any existing damage or stains to carpets, walls, flooring, etc., noted and agreed upon by both parties. ○ The Hirer is expected to return the property in person at the end of the hire period, at which time another inspection will be conducted to ensure the property is in the same condition as at the start of the hire. 7. Smoking: ○ Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the property or on the street outside. ○ Smoking is permitted in the back garden or away from the property, but all cigarette ends must be disposed of properly. ○ If smoking is required for filming purposes (i.e., "on camera"), only theatrical cigarettes are permitted, and this must be agreed upon with the Owner in advance. 8. Consideration for Neighbours: ○ Our neighbours kindly support us in using the property for filming, and we wish to maintain good relations with them. ○ Please avoid congregating or smoking outside the front of the house, and keep noise to a minimum, especially during early mornings or late evenings. ○ If you plan to film outside, either in the front or back of the property, please inform us in advance so we can notify our neighbours. 9. Utilities Fair Use Policy: ○ Utilities are not chargeable unless the cost exceeds £30. ○ If the cost of utilities during the hire period exceeds £30, the Hirer will be responsible for covering the excess amount. ○ The Hirer is encouraged to use energy responsibly and minimise unnecessary usage wherever possible. 10. Insurance: ○ The Hirer must provide proof of a minimum of £1 million public liability insurance in accordance with Scouty's terms and conditions before the hire period begins. 11. Overrun: ○ If the Hirer’s use of the property exceeds the agreed hire period and they have not completely vacated the property by the end of the hire period, a 15-minute grace period will be allowed. ○ Beyond the initial 15-minute grace period, the Hirer will be charged on a pro-rata basis for up to one hour of overrun. ○ Any overrun beyond one hour will be charged at a pro-rata rate multiplied by three. 12. Indemnity: ○ The Hirer agrees to indemnify and hold the Owner harmless against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or connected to the Hirer's use of the Location. 13. Acceptance of These Terms: ○ By making the booking, the Hirer agrees to be bound by these terms and to comply with all rules herein. ○ If any rules are broken, particularly in relation to the crew and cast size, this agreement will be immediately terminated, and the Hirer will be required to cease all production activities and vacate the property.
